"My goal is to empower people to be the best version of themselves"
Annette Newton
Registered Psychotherapist & Yoga Teacher
As a certified Healthcare Professional, I understand the weight and frustration of feeling like there is more out there for you, but not knowing where to turn to first. That’s why my mission is simple: give my clients the wellness education, tools and resources that they need to feel happy, healthy, and capable of managing life’s pressures. I am a strong advocate for women's health and empower women to recognize, understand and make healthy choices for their unique body at various stages of life.

My vision is to see everyone be empowered to live their best life! I support you to achieve this through treating your emotional and physical well-being. I can truly treat you from a biopsychosocial perspective, which makes my training unique. Your body and mind is a continuum of scientific matter that can be strengthened. Moving forward, and evolving is possible for everyone!

I offer both in-person as well as virtual therapy to meet each clients needs.
Let's walk the journey to optimal mental health together!
Early Life
Today
Passions
I am the youngest of 6 siblings who grew up in Windsor Ontario and was a National and Varsity Track and Field Athlete. At the age of 23 after moving to Toronto, I was diagnosed with Lupus and got married. I had my first daughter Allison in 1993, my second daughter Jillian in 1996, and in 1999 my third daughter Emily. I decided to continue to work part- time while my husband and I raised our three daughters and opened my own business working in Behavioural Rehabilitation for Insurance companies.
I am a married and work as a functional psychotherapist who teaches Iyengar yoga. Where are my children today – Allison married and is a Doctor of Chiropractic and had a boy William in December 2021. Jillian is in her final year of Law and Master of Health Administration at Dalhousie University. Emily is in her second year of her Master of Translational Research at the University of Toronto.
Trained at Toronto Iyengar Yoga Centre, I have been a teacher of Iyengar yoga since 2017 and practicing for15 years. I encourage my students to move with breath and lightness.
This creates both internal and external stability which enables them to then take these skills into their day to day lives. Helping individuals improve their quality of life at a physical and psychological level is possible.
